An educator by training and a natural, animated storyteller, May Kwun connects with people with her inspiring passion, genuine warmth and quick wit. Specialising in personal growth development and life skills, May Kwun offers life-changing perspectives through the use of real-life stories and multi-sensory teaching techniques to impact learning. Over the past 25 years, May Kwun has helped individuals from different walks of life and organisations to address the root causes of perennial challenges, uplifting their capacities to achieve their goals and aspirations.

A life skills educator, speaker and author, May Kwun is passionate about helping people face trials and adversities with resilient hope and thankfulness.

In 2011, May Kwun’s young son went through two brain operations after being diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a highly aggressive cancerous tumour. Struck successively by a series of unrelenting painful events when both her parents also came down with cancer, May Kwun and her sister, Lynette, co-authored a book, sharing the precious lessons learned as they went through those difficult seasons.

Titled “When Life Throws You Curveballs”, their motivation behind the book is to deliver a message of hope through glimpses of God’s everlasting grace even when all seems lost. Inside the book, you will also find practical tips on how one may possibly prepare now for unexpected life events in future, preventing a “knockout in the fight”.

Creating Social Impact

PAYING IT FOWARD

At Discovery Solutions, we believe there is potential in every person to succeed in life, including those who have been marginalised and lack access to education. Since 2016, we have been partnering with Hagar Singapore to empower trafficking survivors and exploited foreign domestic workers with life skills that are fundamental to living a productive life. Specially customised for basic learners with almost zero education, the life skills curriculum comprising 8 key skills was developed, targeting at reducing their risks to re-exploitation.
